It is with great pleasure that we award the endorsement of the Burbank Police Officers' Association to the following candidates.  This endorsement has been made due to excellent leadership performance and their current record on many issues of importance to our officers and the citizens of Burbank.
 
 

Steve Cooley for Los Angeles County District Attorney

Steve Cooley is seeking a third term as Los Angeles County District Attorney.  Prior to his election in 2000 he served as a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for 27 years.  Mr. Cooley’s accomplishments include reorganization of the District Attorney’s Office, changes to critical directives and in office policies.  Some of his most noted accomplishments are the Victim Impact Program, Forensic Sciences Section, Public Integrity Division, and the Three Strikes Policy.  For his work in these areas and others, Mr. Cooley and his office have received numerous awards and commendations, including the 2008 California Newspaper Publishers Association’s prestigious and rare “Freedom of Information Award.”  His commitment to the justice system and his leadership within the justice system are his hallmarks.  www.Stevecooley.com
 
 
 


B. Kathleen Blanchard for Los Angeles County Judge #123
B. Kathleen Blanchard is seeking the position of Judge for Los Angeles County Judicial Office #123.  She has served as a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney for 10 years, and previous experience includes 4 years as Deputy Attorney General for the California Department of Justice.  “Justice consists not in being neutral between right and wrong, but it finding out the right and upholding it, whenever found, against the wrong.”  This quote from Theodore Roosevelt embodies one of her strongest, fundamental core values.  She believes that members of the Criminal Justice System should strive to do the right thing, every time, in every case.  www.Blanchard4judge.com 


 
 


Jared Moses for Los County Superior Court Judge #119
Jared Moses is seeking the position of Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Office #119.  He has served as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for over 14 years.  He has aggressively pursued justice for crime victims and their families.  He has successfully prosecuted murders, rapists, child molesters and other criminals.  He is devoted to fairness and consistency in our criminal justice system and one of his primary goals is to advance the cause of public safety.  In addition to prosecuting criminals, Mr. Moses teaches and lectures frequently.  He has lectured across The United States and California on gang prosecution and other topics for a wide variety of law enforcement agencies and groups.  www.Mosesforjudge.com
  
 

Michael Jesic for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge #154
Michael Jesic is seeking the position of Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Office #154.  He has served as prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for over 12 years.  He has prosecuted some of the most violent criminals.  He was part of the highly successful C.L.E.A.R. program which was designed to combat gang violence and return neighborhoods back to the good citizens that live in them.  His efforts have been recognized by victim’s rights groups, his colleagues at the Districts Attorney’s Office, along with local, state and federal agencies. www.Jesicforjudge.com   


Assembly Bill 1634 California Healthy Pets Act
